API terms of use

Applies to every key issued at podsearch.org/developers (Free, Pro and the monthly Enterprise tiers). Custom Enterprise customers are covered by their own agreement.

Attribution

Free-plan apps must show a visible “Powered by PodSearch” credit linking to podsearch.org wherever API data is displayed. Pro apps may drop the credit.

Caching and storage

On Free, Pro and the monthly Enterprise tiers you may cache responses only for as long as needed to serve your users (up to 24 hours) and may not build a standing copy of our catalog or resell it. Custom Enterprise agreements may allow storing and caching results; the terms are written into that agreement.

One person, one account

Do not create several Free keys to get around the monthly request cap or rate limits. We may revoke keys we believe do this.

Podcast owner contact emails

Pro and Enterprise responses may include a podcast's email: the owner contact address the publisher put in their own RSS feed (itunes:owner or managingEditor). We do not scrape or guess addresses, and we return none for owners who asked us to remove their podcast. You are responsible for using these addresses lawfully, including under CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL and similar laws:

We may revoke keys used to send spam. Owners can ask for removal at [email protected]; once processed, the address is no longer returned.

Billing and refunds

Pro is billed monthly in USD through Stripe: the base fee covers the included requests and usage beyond that is billed per 1,000 requests. You can cancel any time from the billing portal; the plan ends with the paid period. Pro payments are not refundable.

Support

Free: community support. Pro and Enterprise: priority email support at [email protected]. We do not offer an uptime SLA on Free or Pro.

Enterprise

The Enterprise 250k, 1M and 5M tiers are monthly subscriptions bought at /developers and covered by these terms, like Pro. Custom Enterprise (more volume, annual invoicing, or storage rights) is invoiced annually under a separate agreement, which supersedes these terms where they differ.

Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept it.
