Scripture: 1 Samuel 17 — our verse: "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty." (1 Samuel 17:45). Also 2 Samuel 21.David was a shepherd boy of about seventeen when he faced Goliath — nine feet nine inches tall, shouting his challenge for forty days while all Israel was afraid. David didn't compare Goliath to himself; he compared Goliath to God, and next to God the giant wasn't big at all. This study teaches kids to be brave when they feel small: you don't need somebody else's armor, and God uses small, faithful things. It includes the emphasis song "Brave David, Small But Strong," the five smooth stones activity, and review questions.Free sing-along lesson book for this study — with guitar chords, the five smooth stones activity, and handouts: https://bit.ly/4yxBMR3More free books on our home page: https://sites.google.com/view/toddsbiblelessonsWatch this study on YouTube: https://youtu.be/4CobAn7PgtY
