Show by Dr. Asha Prasad

What if the space around you is shaping how you feel, think, and live without you even realizing it? In this episode of Real Talk with Dr. Asha Prasad, I sit down with Nikhil Baveja, industrial and experiential designer and founder of NickelXD, to explore how our physical environment influences mood, focus, creativity, and wellbeing. Nikhil shares his journey from childhood furniture-making to Pratt Institute in New York, and how his approach to design goes beyond aesthetics to consider the entire human experience. We also discuss the pressure behind creative success, a major health scare that changed his priorities, and why meaningful work, boundaries, and recovery matter more to him today. Plus, Nikhil shares simple ways to improve your home or workspace through lighting, color, texture, and thoughtful design, without a major renovation. Because sometimes creating a healthier life starts with looking at the space around you.
