Adopted by God: What it means to live as God’s children (Romans 8:14-17) | John Hudson

Show by Basingstoke Church
What does it look like to let the Holy Spirit help us live as God’s children, as heirs and not just servants who do his work? In this second talk of our Rooted series, John Hudson looks at Romans 8:14-17, and how the Holy Spirit helps us receive our identity as children of God, and function from that place as heirs. Before anything is asked of us, belonging is settled: we are sons and daughters, not hired hands. This is what adoption really meant in the first century - and out of this security we go deeper into what God has for us. Whether you're exploring faith, newly following, or years in and running on empty, this is an invitation to re-root yourself in Jesus and go deeper.
