I had a picture in my head that I was comparing myself to! Gods got a plan and a purpose for your life… but its not Hers OR His… and its not there’s, or yours. 2 Corinthians 10:12 Oh, don’t worry; we wouldn’t dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant! Verse 12 plays on two words: enkrinai (“to classify, rank”) and synkrinai (“to compare”). Paul says he does not dare to rank or compare himself with those who commend themselves. DOES NOT DARE: GK - TOL-MAO I WOULD NOT dare, to be bold enough, to have the nerve to presume compare myself to anyone other than Christ. This verse asks: What’s your chosen standard? WHO DO YOU COMPARE YOURSELF TO?
