Case 13: The Ring on the Wrong Hand
From Emily Knight: Private Eye · 36:35
Show by evalyski
Emily Knight, a broke private investigator in Seadog Beach, gets an off-the-record call from a police detective she has traded facts with for years. At a fiftieth anniversary toast, the guest of honor lifted her engagement ring from its dish and it was brass. The family calls it a mix-up and won't talk to the police, so Emily has to get inside a family that would rather say nothing, with her fee promised but not yet in hand. Enjoyed the case?
