From The Poultry Edge · 34:01
Show by Teagasc
With recent changes to the regulations in relation to Avian Influenza resulting in longer zones if we suffer an outbreak, Avril Hobson, Head of the National Disease Control Centre for the Department of Agriculture, Food & the Marine, joins Rebecca Tierney to explain the new rules. This is a very important change to our industry so please do share this with fellow poultry producers, so we can all protect our sector. Just to note that Ireland has been successful in keeping cases of bird flu to a minimum, with no secondary outbreaks noted last year. As an industry we have done a good job, so let’s continue to do that. For more episodes from the Poultry Edge podcast go to the show page at:https://teagasc.ie/rural-economy/rural-development/poultry/the-poultry-edge-podcast/The Poultry Edge is a co-production with LastCastMedia.com
