Episode 64- Top 5 Dance Movies

From Top 5 of Everything · 1:06:54

Show by Rowan Webster

Rowan and Squibb look at movies that not only contain top-notch dance and choreography, but which focus entirely on the art form and the artists themselves through a dramatic (or in one instance, comedic) lens. What are these films telling us through dance? In what way does the universality of the human form permit for the exploration of a variety of themes such as emergent sexuality and escape from shame? Join us to start the conversation as we critically rank some of the cinema you know and love, or perhaps inspire some additions to your watchlist. Hosted on Acast.
