Since subversion involves challenging norms, it not only relates to discussions of good vs bad, but also the appeal of doing things that are considered bad. Ideas of good and bad can often be socially constructed, so “being bad” is usually fun, liberating, makes some sort of a statement about these constructs, and can even be necessary.
