KIM ON A WHIM: McRib False Advertising Lawsuit & Fast-Food Litigation
From The Marc Cox Morning Show · 11:25
Show by Audacy
Seeking a mental break from election day fallout, the hosts turn to consumer culture on "Kim on a Whim," diving into the return of McDonald's McRib sandwich and the online "McRib Locator." The discussion centers on a federal class-action lawsuit where an Illinois judge recently allowed consumer deception claims to advance against McDonald's over allegations that marketing a rib-shaped patty defrauds customers into believing it contains actual pork rib meat. The conversation expands into famous fast-food legal disputes, including Subway's footlong measurement lawsuits, Burger King burger sizing challenges, and McDonald's hot coffee case, exploring corporate liability and modern litigious culture. The hosts share nostalgic memories of vintage fast-food chains like Burger Chef and schoolhouse disciplinary practices, concluding with a nod to conservative political shifts in Florida.
