What does transformation really mean? Nowadays, the concept is used in multiple contexts with multiple meanings, but a consensus is still missing. “Embracing Transformation,” from Leuphana University Lüneburg, aims to cover a broad range of topics within the sphere of transformation, including but not limited to climate change, digitalization, and socio-political upheavals. As part of the larger Leuphana Transformation Lab, the podcast will endeavor to explore how societies are managing transformations by delving deeper into its various interpretations and applications. How is the term transformation applied in everyday discourse? How do subtle changes in language affect broader social, political, economic, or ecological changes? In this podcast series, researchers from across various disciplines will discuss transformative ideas and movements within four episodic formats. First, "Transformation Dialogues" consists of discussions by two researchers from different disciplines that touch upon current tensions and developments in transformation research. "Scholarly Chats" invites visiting researchers for a casual conversation about ongoing research in the transformation space. "Emerging Voices" showcases current research by post-doctoral candidates. And finally, "Voices from the Field" highlights transformation research being conducted from the field. With knowledge integration as a core tenet, this podcast endeavors to showcase transformation research that addresses the profound changes our modern world faces.
