The Overdrawn Account and the Kitchen Mouse
From Claudia - Claudia and David Naughton stories · 14:40
Show by Trigger And Kai Media
Aired: Oct 24th, 1947. An unexpected letter from the bank reveals that Claudia and David's checking account is overdrawn. After David sits down to examine her incomplete checkbook stubs, Claudia explains the missing hundred dollars: she moved it into their savings account so it wouldn't sit in checking without earning interest. With the financial confusion cleared up, Claudia ventures into the kitchen to make a late-night snack, only to find a tiny mouse near the refrigerator. Instead of panicking, she and David end up offering their cheese to the hungry little visitor before realizing there is no bread left in the house. Transcript: Read transcript
