Much Has Been Given, Much Is Expected

"Much will be required of the person entrusted with much." In this homily, Fr. Miguel reflects on Jesus' reminder that the greater the gifts and blessings we receive, the greater our responsibility to use them faithfully. As Catholics, we have been entrusted with so much: the fullness of the faith, the sacraments, spiritual formation, and countless opportunities to grow closer to God. But this responsibility should not lead us to live in fear or anxiety. Drawing on the words of St. Paul, St. Faustina, and the wisdom of Scripture, Fr. Miguel reminds us that while we must strive to be faithful servants and fulfill God's will in our daily lives, we must also place our complete confidence in His mercy and grace. The Lord does not expect us to rely on ourselves alone. He promises to strengthen us in our weakness and make up for what is lacking in us. Much is expected of us, but we need not be afraid when we place our trust in the One who saves us.
