The Rosary and the Grace of a Holy Death
From Fr. Miguel’s Shrine Homilies · 00:10:43
Show by Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word
Are we truly ready to meet the Lord? In this homily, Fr. Miguel reflects on Jesus' call to remain vigilant and prepared, reminding us that we do not know the day or hour when we will stand before Him. As we observe October, the month of the Holy Rosary, he highlights several of Our Lady's promises to those who faithfully pray the Rosary, including the assurance of spiritual protection, the grace to receive the sacraments at the hour of death, and the intercession of the entire heavenly court. But praying the Rosary must be more than a routine; we must apply its mysteries to our daily lives, following Mary's example of faith, service, and obedience. Drawing on the teachings of Mother Angelica and St. Faustina, Fr. Miguel also reminds us of God's extraordinary mercy and the importance of forming holy habits now, rather than waiting until our final moments. The best preparation for our final hour is to live every day faithfully in the presence of God.
