Are You Accepting the Gifts God Gives You?

"Grace was given to each of us according to the measure of Christ's gift." In this homily, Fr. Miguel explores the many ways God pours His grace into our lives and the importance of responding to these gifts. From sanctifying grace and actual grace to sacramental grace, special charisms, and the graces of our particular state in life, he explains how God equips each of us to fulfill the vocation and mission He has entrusted to us. Whether through marriage, the priesthood, or our everyday responsibilities, God provides the grace we need to remain faithful and fruitful. But His grace does not force our free will. We must choose to accept it, cooperate with it, and respond to the inspirations He places in our hearts. Drawing on the Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Fr. Miguel reminds us that grace prepares and moves our free response, leading us from grace to grace. Celebrating the votive Mass of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mediatrix of All Graces, he also reflects on Mary's unique role in helping us receive the gifts God so generously offers. God never leaves us without the grace we need. The question is whether we are willing to receive it and cooperate with it.
